History & Results of Kinder+Sport
After years of sponsoring local teams and sports events, in 2005, the Kinder brand launched the Kinder + Sport project in Italy. The mission was to promote sport as part of a daily healthy lifestyle.
In these years, Kinder + Sport expanded mainly throughout Europe and in 2011 was present in 17 European countries.
The project extended its borders outside of Europe (China and Russia) involving more than 7 million children thanks to a fruitful collaboration with 22 sportive federations and 2 Olympic committees (CONI - Italy, DOSB - Germany).
14 different sports have been practiced such as athletics, volleyball, tennis, fencing and water polo, promoted by 19 champions, Kinder + Sport ambassadors, who promote sport and a healthy lifestyle.

Kinder + Sport a finalist in "Peace and Sport" Awards 2009
The Kinder + Sport project was one of the three finalists for the 2009 “Peace and Sport" Prize, an initiative implemented by the International Organization for Peace and Sport. The Organization, which works to promote sport as a way to diffuse important values, such as tolerance and mutual respect, decided this year to reward companies that best demonstrate efforts in this area.
The prize for “Best Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative” was awarded during a forum held annually in Monaco under the patronage of HRH Prince Albert II.
This nomination is a clear recognition that Kinder + Sport remains a project that not only supports sports through the sponsorship of teams and athletes, but also provides practical help to schools and sports centers in promoting and spreading sports as a part of a daily healthy lifestyle, especially among young people.
