Supporting Local Communities

In Australia, we're committed to the global Ferrero principle: "Work, create, donate." We're putting this principle into action to make a positive impact in our local communities.

Joy of moving program in Australia

Ferrero’s Kinder Joy of moving is an international Corporate Social Responsibility project to promote physical activity and sport  for children and families in a way that is engaging, joyful and non-competitive.

In Australia, Ferrero has funded a Monash University study to develop and evaluate the Joy of moving program in Australia research program in Victorian primary schools in collaboration with School Sport Victoria. The study comprised 15 mainstream schools and 9 specialist schools, engaging 244 teachers and involved 3,586 school children.

The Joy of moving program in Australia is an innovative program that uses fun, play-based movement activities to get children moving and engaged in the classroom. A unique aspect of the program is that it provides children with the opportunity to improve both their physical and mental health literacy. We are proud to be inclusive of children of all abilities through our research within both mainstream and specialist schools. With the global impacts of the COVID pandemic on children's health and wellbeing, holistic programs that are accessible during school hours have never been more important.

This research has contributed to a deeper understanding of critical developmental factors and design principles to enhance the health and wellbeing of all children in the classroom.

Ferrero has continued to support the Joy of moving program in Australia by extending its partnership with Monash University, fostering a living laboratory project.  Read more here: Joy of moving - Alumni (monash.edu)
