FERRERO DONATES 90,000 EASTER TREATS FOR AUSTRALIAN FAMILIES THROUGH OZHARVEST PARTNERSHIP

Ferrero Donates 90000 easter treats for Australian families

Ferrero is proud to donate more than 90,000 chocolate products as part of its partnership with OzHarvest Australia, to ensure Australians experiencing tough times can enjoy an Easter treat.

The donation to OzHarvest represents almost $ 300,000 worth of premium Ferrero chocolates, including seasonal treats such as Ferrero Collection gift boxes to the fan-favourite Grand Ferrero Rocher.

As with all Ferrero chocolates, the donated Easter goods use only 100% certified-as-sustainable cocoa.

With the ongoing impact of COVID-19 and the rising cost of living, OzHarvest is seeing the demand for services continue to rise. During the pandemic, operations were scaled up to include emergency food relief response. OzHarvest believes that everyone deserves access to quality, nutritious food, but during these tough times, more people than ever are turning to charities for support.

Richard Watson – OzHarvest NSW State Manager said, “Putting food on the table is a struggle for so many families in Australia right now. After paying rent, bills and putting petrol in the car, there is often nothing left. Parents skip meals to make sure kids are fed, but even this is not always the case”.

Massimo D’Ambrosio, Managing Director of Ferrero Australia, commented: “Easter is a special time for many Australians, and Ferrero is delighted to play a part in those moments of joy as people all over Australia open a chocolate treat with loved ones.

“Our team at Ferrero is proud to be working with OzHarvest to share our much-loved products with Australians facing tough times. It has been a challenging year for so many people, but we hope families and friends can come together to share the good moments.

Brett Jones - OzHarvest Adelaide Food Rescue Coordinator said, “This donation will travel so far throughout the network of charities we support, who will be thrilled to be able to distribute these treats to their clients in time for Easter.”

Ferrero products are being delivered to OzHarvest’s charity partners across NSW, Queensland and South Australia this week, in the lead up to the Easter long weekend.
