My personal favourite is Hazelnut & Blueberry Galette with Nutella, which is my spin on the traditional tart recipe - they are so indulgent yet surprisingly simple to whip up at home. These delicious beauties are my pick for any picnic menu and sure to delight the tastebuds of everyone,” says Kat Sabbath.

When it comes to hosting a picnic, outdoor party or backyard get-together, Jess Nguyen has tablescapes for every theme and styling advice to elevate any occasion.

“I love everything about entertaining – cooking, being creative and sharing great food with family and friends. I always like to create variations of classic recipes, like turning Nutella Tarts into Nutella Puff Cups by using puff pastry instead of shortcrust - they look super cute and are definitely a picnic hit. Picnics, whether impromptu or planned, are a great way to connect with friends, enjoy the sunnier days. They are a good opportunity to get creative, from the food you serve, to the picture-perfect location you choose to the style and theme you bring to life on the picnic rug.” says Jess Nguyen.

A Sydney-based mum with three young children, Amy Gerard is always on the hunt for kid-approved picnic ideas and recipes.

Amy explains, “Picnics are an excellent way to get the kids out of the house on weekends and school holidays, and the fresh air and sunshine also do wonders for my parenting sanity – it’s a win-win! I’m a big fan of easy-to-prepare picnic snacks and the kids’ most requested creation is Mini Pancake Kebabs with Nutella & Fruit. They only take a few minutes to make and sometimes if I’m feeling extra creative I’ll create multiple versions of the kebabs using different summer fruits.”
