Born in 1946 as a small pastry shop in Alba, Italy, Ferrero is now present in more than 50 countries with 32 manufacturing plants across five continents. Our products are available in more than 170 countries.

Our Financial Performance
In a changing environment, Ferrero continues to grow year on year, and is today the third largest chocolate confectionery company in the world.

 

  • The Ferrero Group closed the financial year ending August 31, 2024, with consolidated revenue of €18.4 billion, an increase of 8.9% compared to the previous year's revenue of €17 billion. Despite the challenging economic and geopolitical environment, the Group was able to overcome these challenges thanks to the resilience of its people, its brands, and its business model. The Group was able to continue its solid growth and consolidate its market share across all categories and regions, thanks to the resilience of its people, its brands, and its business model.
  • Our iconic brands such as Nutella®, Ferrero Rocher®, Kinder Bueno® and Kinder Joy® achieved net sales growth, driven by the USA and Italy, accompanied by the consolidation of market shares in most of the regions.

Continuous Growth and Improvement
To fuel growth, the Ferrero Group also completed some key initiatives such as:
  • *We continued to increase investments in our iconic brands and strengthen our internal R&D. 
  • *We expanded our production capacity to meet growing consumer demand for our products, with total capital investments increasing by 18% to €958 million. Major investments were made in the United States, Italy, Germany, and Chile. 
  • *We opened the Group's first chocolate processing plant in the United States. A 21,336-square-meter facility in Bloomington, Illinois, dedicated to producing chocolate for Ferrero's core brands in North America. 
  • *We modernized our facility in Stadtallendorf, Germany, and continued to develop our hazelnut sourcing and processing facility in Chile. 

These investments reflect our ongoing focus on improving product quality, freshness, and food safety, while maintaining our competitiveness and reducing the environmental impact of our production.

The Hazelnut Company is a unique function within Ferrero, involved in all aspects of the hazelnut value chain, from farm to factory. Consta has a global presence, including ten agricultural companies in Argentina, Chile, Georgia, and Serbia. It also has seven hazelnut processing plants in Turkey, Italy, and Chile.
