PAHO AND FERRERO ADVANCE PARTNERSHIP TO SUPPORT HEALTH INITIATIVES AND IMMUNIZATION IN THE AMERICAS

PAHO and Ferrero advance partnership to support health initiatives and immunization in the Americas

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) held a courtesy meeting with representatives of Ferrero International S.A. to mark the start of a new institutional partnership and discuss initial and potential future areas of collaboration to support public health efforts in the Americas.

The meeting follows the late 2025 signature of a Framework Agreement establishing a three-year collaboration to support initiatives that contribute to improving the health and well-being of children, adolescents, and families in vulnerable conditions across the Region.

As a first step, the parties are advancing a project to strengthen immunization services in communities affected by violence in Ecuador, with activities in Guayas and Manabí, aiming to address gaps in vaccination coverage.

Beyond Ecuador, the partnership aims to expand to Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico, supporting health systems, emergency response, and equitable access to vaccines.
